I want to invite every Ohio District Optimist member to attend the 70th Annual Ohio District Convention. The Convention will be held at the Holiday Inn Fairborn near Dayton, Ohio from Thursday, August 16th through Sunday, August 19th, 2018. Candidates wanting to run for International Office in Ottawa, Ontario, will need to follow the below qualification section in the Junior Optimist International Policy for Governance.

SECTION 3: Qualifications: The President and Junior Optimist International Board of Directors shall be elected by the delegates at the annual convention. Optimist International Foundation is accepting applications for the 2018 Club Grant Program. Any Adult Club served by Optimist International Foundation is eligible to apply for a 500 grant to be used for a NEW project of the Club.

Apply to International Essay Contest for Young People, 2018 which can be taken at Not applicable and provides 50, 000 Yen 100, 000 Yen Spanish or German excluding essay title and the cover page must be sent. Candidates can also choose Japanese but essay must contain 1600 characters or less.
